Sorry it's been a while, seasons change, life gets complicated, and then as fast as the tide comes in, it recedes and takes all life's little complications with it leaving life a little more harmonious and filling us with new hope.
Like the seasons my mugs have been changing too look at this little beauty “hello spring” now as beautiful as it is, I feel the Bunny could suffer a nasty little accident in the washing up bowl without due care and attention, not only that I'm loving my recent glass addition to my collection, thanks to a little trip to pepco.
On the writing front, my latest agent submission has been returned with a thanks but no thanks. Now to some that may seem like a negative but to me it was a positive, it was a response! far too often you hear of no response from the agents or publishing houses at all which I get.
They must receive many many submissions daily, they can't respond to every submission and often on the submissions info it states, if you haven't heard within 8 to 12 weeks then take it as a no, so to get a response, well that to me is good. My next submission is prepared and ready to be sent off this week so let's get those fingers crossed people. Although when is enough? when do you stop sending submissions? JK Rowling was allegedly rejected loads of times before the success of Harry Potter. So, with than knowledge to hand I will continue to submit until I feel that that was one NO too many but if you truly believe in your product enough then it will work. Believe and work for it, and it will happen.
